The new $5 dollar bill is being released soon and it has all new and improved security features. Oh did I mention the it is PURPLE? Yes it is true, the new Abraham Lincoln bill has purple features that include a purple blended back splash and a big purple number 5 on the back! Monopoly money here we come!
On average in 2006, 1 in every 10,000 American dollars were counterfeit. This hits us in the wallet with having to constantly keep an eye out for false bills and trying to stay one step ahead of the crooks. On average, the currency is updated every 7 to 10 years. But funny money? We are trying to thwart criminals, but our money is looking more like we should buy Boardwalk or Park Place with it.
